| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina VIVIAN GEDDINGS HUDSON Posted Wednesday, February 10, 2021 6:00 am Vivian Geddings Hudson, 80, wife of 63 years to the late Jessie Hudson, died on Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born on Sept. 8, 1940, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Eddie Lee Geddings and Carnell Griffin Geddings. She was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene and was co-owner of Hudson's Used Cars. Survivors include three brothers, George Geddings, Archie Geddings (Sandra) and Gilbert Geddings (Betty); a sister, Fannie Ardis; honorary grandchildren, Kelsey Andrews (Edward) and Corey Brown; and a number of nieces and nephews who were like her children. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four children, Keith, Christopher, Kevin and Paula; and siblings, Maggie Hudson, Mamie Geddings, Ethel Meade and John Geddings. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 4235 Nazarene Church Road, Sumter, SC 29154.
