EUNICE T. GEDDINGS
Eunice Timmons Geddings, 88, widow of Charlie Walter Geddings, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at her home in Rome, Ga.
Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Alex Joseph and Harriett Sims Timmons. Mrs. Geddings was retired from Santee Print Works and was later employed by Sumter Christian School and Crosswell Children's Home.
Surviving are a son, Joseph W. Geddings and partner, Blaine Willis, of Georgia; two grandchildren, John Q. Ross IV and wife, Suzanne, of New Zion and Dottie Landry and husband, David, of Columbia; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, William Edward "Billy" Timmons of Hartsville.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Harriett Ross; and a son, David Geddings.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday in the Chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Dr. Cecil Beach officiating. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Geddings, Johnny Ross, Jay Ross, David Landry, Blaine Willis, Larry Timmons, John Ross and Nicholas Landry.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
