Born on Jan. 6, 1953, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Paul M. Bailey and Helen Lawrence Bailey. Mr. Bailey attended Midway Baptist Church in Darlington. He loved hunting and fishing. Survivors include a daughter, Sonya Tidwell; three grandchildren; one brother, John Bailey (Ann); one sister, Connie Fowler; one niece; one nephew; and a special friend, Charlotte Pollard. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his furry companion, Buttercup. Services will be private. Memorials may be sent to Midway Baptist Church, 4777 Hoffmeyer Road, Darlington, SC 29532. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.  [2, 4, 5]
