Born Nov. 3, 1923, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Junius Elliott and Ruby Carroll Hodge. She was a member of Home Branch Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Floyd Thomas Davis of Manning and Fred Elliott Davis of Sumter; a daughter, Ruby Louise Davis of Manning; a brother, Cecil Hodge (Mary Rose) of Manning; a grandson, Elliott Thomas Davis of Bristol, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Myrtis Hodge. Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Monday at Home Branch Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Haynes officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Nephews served as pallbearers. The family will receive at the residence of her brother, 1930 Hodge Circle, Manning.
