VIVIAN LEE B. BARWICK
Vivian Lee Brown Barwick, 89, widow of John Allie Barwick, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at a local nursing center.
Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Myer Brown and Bessie Ruth McLeod Brown. Mrs. Barwick was a member of Pinewood Baptist Church and was retired from Campbell Soup Co.
Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Barwick and wife, Patsy, and Steve Barwick and wife, Debbie, both of Pinewood; two sisters, Jeanette Newman and Betty Welch, both of Sumter; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, John Robert Barwick and Sonny Barwick; a grandson, John Allen Barwick; a great-granddaughter, Faith Marie Brown; seven brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Pinewood Baptist Church with the Rev. Bennie Barwick and the Rev. Sim Smith officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be D.L. Barwick, Charles Barwick, Raymond Barwick, Claude Newman, Chuck Brown and David Brown.
The family will receive friends at the home of her son, 8835 S.C. 261 South, Pinewood.
