Broadway passed away today, Wed., Sept. 19, 2012. Pam Scott sandylapper@hotmail.com LORINE BROADWAY MANNING - Lorine Tidwell Branson Broadway, 86, wife of Thomas W. Broadway, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at her home. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late James Roland and Janie Outlaw Tidwell. Mrs. Broadway was a member of Paxville Baptist Church. She was twice married, first to the late Robert Gene Branson. Surviving are her husband of Manning; three daughters, Carol A. Bruce, Linda B. Chazen and husband. Jack, of Sumter and Roberta B. Lesh and husband, Gary, of Wilmington, N.C.; a brother, Eugene Tidwell of Lexington; two sisters, Eula Walker of Sumter and Jennie Farmer of Covington, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Clifford H. Brookshire; and a daughter, Jackie L. Brabham. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Mosier and the Rev. Jimmy Casey officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
