Other than that, I have amassed a lot of info about him. He was born Henry Lawrence Ragin, but added "Thomas" to his surname in the 1870s to escape persecution as an officer in the Confederacy. Henry's son by his second wife (out of 3) was James Caldwell Thomas, father of Anne Frezil Thomas, mother of Donald Leon Wright, my Dad.
