DALZELL -- Kate Mae Morris Boykin, 87, widow of Gary Odell Boykin Sr., died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at her home.
Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Johnny Edward and Honor Hatfield Morris. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Rembert.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Boykin Catoe (Willard) of Dalzell and Betty Boykin Baker (Jerry) of Camden; a son, the Rev. Gary Odell Boykin Jr. (Cindy) of Dalzell; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell Boykin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church in Rembert with the Rev. Presley Morris and the Rev. Gary Odell Boykin Jr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home and other times at her home, 3019 Rembert Church Road, Dalzell.
