| HIST | LILLIAN G. BARNES Posted Tuesday, July 12, 2016 6:00 am BISHOPVILLE - Lillian Elise Graham Barnes, 75, wife of James W. Barnes, died on Friday, July 8, 2016, at Palmetto Health Tuomey. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Lille Louise Richardson Graham. She was later adopted by her grandparents, Charles Boyd Richardson and Elise Richardson. Mrs. Barnes was twice married, first to the late William Horton and then to James Barnes. She was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church and a former member of Eason Memorial Church. Surviving are her husband of Bishopville; two daughters, Lillian Elizabeth Cribb (Randy) and Jennifer Gayle Welch (Tony), both of Eastover; six grandchildren, Stephen, Betsy, Courtney, Brandon, Taylor and Tommy; and six great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Lane, Landon, Aaron, Caleb and Andy. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Hinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Staff Sgt. Jason Tassone, Sgt. Bryan Rulong, Cpl. Larry Wix, Cpl. Russell Elmore, Master Firefighter Troy Lamontagne and Officer 1st Class Tony McCoy Jr. Memorials may be made to Sumter Relay for Life, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
