Posted Thursday, February 1, 2018 2:00 am MANNING - James Furman Ridgeway Sr., 78, widower of Shirley Ann Lowder Ridgeway, died on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at McLeod Health Clarendon. Born on Aug. 5, 1939, in Davis Station, he was a son of the late Horace Everd Ridgeway and Maggie Dennis Ridgeway. He was a U.S. Army veteran and he retired from Walker Tire Co. with 58 years of service. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He is survived by three sons, Jimmy Ridgeway (Missy) of Sumter, David Ridgeway (Kathy) of Port Barre, Louisiana, and Chris Ridgeway (Kim) of Manning; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Myrtle Moore of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dot Rucker (Charlie) of Beaufort and Carolyn Minner of Marietta, Georgia; special family member, Scotty Mims of Manning; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Katherine Haselden officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ashley Brunson. Burial will follow at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Will Tomlinson, Ronnie Frazier, Pat Roberson, Scotty Mims, Gary Ridgeway and Ken Wells. Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Ard, Jake Ross, Walker Wells and Jody Ard. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 1162 Peddlers Lane, Manning. Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory, 304 N.
