Kolar, nee Pierson, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021. Fran was born on April 12, 1938, in Sumter, and returned there upon retirement in 2003, where she was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church. She lived most of her life in Woodridge, Illinois, where she was a member of Woodridge United Methodist Church. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi for more than 45 years in both Woodridge and Sumter. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph; loving mother of Kenneth (Michelle) Kolar, Susan (Kenneth) Bianucci and Dione (Chris) McConnell; cherished grandmother of Jestin, Zachary, Gregory and Joseph Kolar and Kyle, Kayla and Keaton O'Leary; dear sister of Hazel Wilson, Baxter Pierson and the late Marguerite Morris, William, Samuel and Paul Pierson. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. CST on Saturday, Nov. 27, at Woodridge United Methodist Church, 2700 W. 75th St., Woodridge, and will be live streamed online at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC55h6W4msRxu83x5DvGquoQ.
