Davis College Preparatory Academy Mrs. Lisa Ard teaches elementary and middle school PE and middle school health at R.E. Davis. In total, this is her 33rd year in education, and she has taught physical education, health, driver education, HSAP lab and weight lifting to students in grades K-12. She previously taught at R.E. Davis from 1990-1996. In addition to her teaching roles, she also coaches our middle school volleyball, girls basketball and the girls track teams. She loves teaching and coaching and being able to teach skills students can use in all their activities for the rest of their lives and the social skills to get along with others as they compete. Her impact on the Sumter community has been immeasurable, with many of her former students serving in leading roles in careers, education and in the military. Ask anyone around town, and I'm sure you'll find plenty of people whose lives have been inspired by Coach Ard. [1, 4] | |
