Mrs. Kent was born March 24, 1931, in LaBelle, Fla. Survivors include three daughters, Rhonda K. Becknell (Maurice), Karen L. Weston (Ed), and Kathryn J. Reed (Rod); a son, Kevin A. Kent (Sara); grandchildren, Amy Jones, Chad Becknell, Jason Becknell, Courtney Alexander, J. Robin Alexander, Johnathan Kent, Michael Kent, Ryan Kent, Joshua Kent, and He-lené Marie Kent; and a dear friend, Joyce W. Rogers. She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Frederick Kent and her mother, Merle C. Mitter. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave. North, Myrtle Beach, S.C. 29577.
