Olive Baird Floyd NEW ZION — Olive Baird Floyd, age 94, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at her home, after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at New Zion United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family received friends Tuesday at the funeral home. Born in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Aaron Garland Baird and Tiny Rebecca Coker Baird. Mrs. Floyd was a member of New Zion United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Beasley Gibbons; her second husband, Randelson Floyd; her daughter, Betty J. Amerson; three sisters, Pauline B. Green, Allie B. Corbett and Sudie B. DuBose; and six brothers, Howard Baird, Redden H. Baird, Lonnie Baird, Pete Baird, Dannie J. Baird and Wright O. Baird. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Barbara Harrington of New Zion; one grandson, Joe Amerson; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Amerson and Chloe Amerson; many nieces and nephews.
