| HIST | Rodgers-Reeves Dana Lynne Rodgers and Charles Robert Reeves were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007, at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Sumter. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry O. Rodgers of Rembert, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Odell Rodgers of Sumter, the late Effie G. and J.P. Robinson Sr., and the late Sybil R. Garnett. She graduated from Thomas Sumter Academy in Dalzell and attended Francis Marion University in Florence. She is a certified opthalmic assistant employed by Stokes Regional Eye Center in Florence. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Reeves of Florence, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cornett of Hindman, Ky., and Mrs. Roberta Reeves and the late James T. Reeves of Melvin, Ky. He graduated from West Florence High School. He is employed by the South Carolina Department of Corrections in Boykin and Micky Finn's in Florence. The Rev. Larry N. Christopher officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Denise Christmas, pianist; and the Revs. Larry and Kathy Christopher, vocalists. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of white seersucker featuring a fitted bodice, a full skirt with inverted pleats, grosgrain ribbon detail at the waist, and a tulle underskirt. She carried a bouquet of long-stemmed orange mini calla lilies wrapped in her late grandmother's handkerchief. Participating were the bridegroom's father, the bride's brother Brit Rodgers, Kathy Christopher and Mrs. Kelly Geddings. The reception was held at The Russell House in Florence on May 5.
