MANNING -- Doris McCabe Campbell, 87, widow of James E. Campbell, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, at Mariner East of Sumter.
Born Aug. 14, 1917, in Alcolu, she was a daughter of the late Edward A. and Annie Thames McCabe. She was retired from Manning Manufacturing and was a member of Manning First Baptist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Marianne Floyd of Gable, Janice Brunson and husband, Don, of Sumter, Gem Davis and husband, Jeff, of Sumter, Glenn Beatson and husband, Martin, of Manning; six sisters, Rounette Chewning and Edna Lowder of Manning, Erma Prescott of Sumter, Merceline Richburg of Moncks Corner, Deraldine McCabe of West Columbia, and Betty Roof of Virginia Beach; 10 grandchildren, Bill Floyd, David Floyd, Lynn Wallace, Lisa DuRant, Jay Davis, Jennie Fry, Kristie Newman, Marty, Gregg and Sara Lyn Beatson; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Manning First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert Louis Alderman officiating.
Burial will follow in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in Alcolu.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning and at other times at the residence of Marianne Floyd, 14258 N. Brewington Road, Gable.
