PRESCOTT Posted Tuesday, May 29, 2018 6:00 am Erma Lorraine McCabe Prescott, 90, widow of Ervin Wilson Prescott, died on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey. Born on May 19, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Edward Arthur McCabe and Annie Thames McCabe. She was a member of Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include three children, Brenda Mims (Kent), Billy Prescott (Grace) and Johnny Prescott, all of Sumter; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Merceline Richbourg of Sumter and Betty Roof of Virginia; and a special niece, Marianne Floyd. She was preceded in death by a son, Tony Prescott; and nine siblings. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve McCormick and the Rev. Jerry Watson officiating. Burial will be at Brunson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad Prescott, Jason Prescott, Kenneth Mims, Michael Prescott, Christopher Prescott and Cameron Prescott. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 2865 English Turn Drive. Memorials may be made to Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church, 1510 Plowden Mill Road, Sumter, SC 29153 or to the Brunson Cemetery Fund, c/o Patsy Watt, 200 McInnis Store Road, Sumter, SC 29153.
