WILLIAM F. CRIDER
WEDGEFIELD -- William Fred "Billy" Crider, 70, widower of Mary Marie McLeod Crider, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born in St. Matthews, he was a son of the late Fred Crider and the late Lucille Betsill Crider. Mr. Crider was a great lover of poetry and singing.
Survivors include a daughter, Marie McLeod (Calvin) of Wedgefield; two grandchildren, Derek McLeod (Erin) and Casey McLeod; a great-grandchild, Landon McLeod; three sisters, Marilyn Brewer and Gloria Hoffman (Thair), both of St. Matthews, and Patricia Wiles (Paul) of Orangeburg; a brother, Jack Crider (Becky) of St. Matthews; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today in the Gethsemane Baptist Church Cemetery in St. Matthews with the Rev. James McElveen officiating.
