| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina Date Published: March 1, 2009 BLANCHE T. OUTLAW Blanche T. Outlaw, 86, widow of William Coleman "B.C." Outlaw, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at The Hospice of Charleston Hospice Center. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Alex Joseph Timmons and the late Harriett Sims Timmons. Mrs. Outlaw was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was retired from the ASCS office in Sumter. Survivors include a son, William J. "B.J." Outlaw (Virginia) of Mt. Pleasant; two grandchildren, Elliott Hawkey (Brian) of Atlanta and Ashley Outlaw of Mt. Pleasant; a great-grandchild, Hayden Hawkey; a brother, William Edward "Billy" Timmons of Hartsville; and a sister, Eunice Geddings of Rome, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Harold Green officiating. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the Providence Baptist Church Building Fund, 2445 Old Manning Road, Sumter, SC 29150.
