BOBBIE G. JEWELL Sr. Bobbie "Bob" G. Jewell Sr., age 70, beloved husband of Belinda Mahar Jewell, went to his heavenly home on Oct. 13, 2010. He was born in Jewell Ridge, Va., a son of Lillian Hamilton Jewell and the late Charles Wesley Jewell. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He was co-owner and retired from Guignard Plumbing Supply in Sumter. Loved ones left to cherish his memories include his wife, Belinda Mahar Jewell; two sons, Bobby (Sandra) Jewell Jr. of Sumter and Wesley (Sarah) Jewell of Jenison, Mich.; a daughter, Dee (Randy) Lane of Sumter; a stepdaughter, Rusty (Jerry) Gulledge of Sumter; a stepson, Michael (Donna) Maynard of Sumter; three brothers, Don (Donna) Jewell of Tennessee, Ron (Dianne) Jewell of Holley, N.Y., and Charles (LuAnne) Jewell of Holley; 13 grandchildren; his special dog, B.J.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Jewell Pike and Barbara Jewell. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at their home, 485 E. Emerald Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society sent to Sumter School District 2, Attn: Mary Sheridan, 1345 Wilson Hall Road, Sumter, SC 29150.
