MELINDA STONE PARROTT Posted Thursday, December 24, 2020 6:00 am Melinda "Linda" Stone Parrott, 57, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter. She was born on April 11, 1963, in Florence, a daughter of the late Maybell Floyd Stone and Bobby O. Stone of Sumter. Left to cherish her memory is her loving family which includes her husband, Melvin Parrott of Sumter; daughters, Linda "Punkie" Parrott Brotherton (Paul) and Kim Stone of Sumter; two brothers, Bobby Wayne Stone of Columbia and Jerry Stone (Kim) of Sumter; two grandsons, Joseph "Boo" Parrott and Matthew Brotherton of Sumter; and many loved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Parrott; and a sister, Tammy Windham. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Green Acres Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Massey officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, 3135 Beulah Cuttino Road, Sumter. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.  [1, 4, 5]
