| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina JULIA W. FENNELL Julia Wilson Fennell, 89, widow of Robert Fennell, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at a local nursing center. Born in Florence, she was a daughter of the late Harold M. Wilson and Emma Catherine Haynie Wilson. Mrs. Fennell was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Oswego. Surviving are one daughter, Cathy McCoy McElhaney (John) of Oswego; two grandchildren, Jennifer Pring (Rich) and Julie M. Poston (Steve); eight great-grandchildren, Melanie McElhaney, Dalton McElhaney, Ryan Pring, Caytee Pring, Garrett McElhaney, John Poston, McCoy McElhaney and Hannah Poston. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Wesley "Wes" Ray McElhaney. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of National Healthcare Center and Solaris Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Cynthia Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rich Pring, 2885 Oswego Highway.
