After his retirement from farming, he worked full time as the director of Charleston County and subsequently Richland County ASCS offices. After leaving the ASCS office in Richland County, he worked with the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission in Bishopville until his retirement. He was very active in numerous civic organizations. [2] |
