GEDDINGS Mary Bernice Belvin Geddings, 61, wife of Charles Thomas "Tommy" Geddings Sr., died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Duncan Lewis Belvin and the late Gertrude Cotton Belvin. Mrs. Geddings was a member of New Testament Lighthouse Church and the Shriner's Lady Jets. She was retired from Manchester Elementary School. Survivors besides her husband include three children, Melissa Lynn Geddings Gibbons (Carl), Sharmon Geddings McAllister (Mack) and Charles Thomas "Chuck" Geddings Jr., all of Sumter; seven grandchildren, Barbara "Brandi" Gibbons, Joshua Gibbons, Rebecka Gibbons, Kyle Geddings, Travis Geddings, Brittany Flack and Rachel Geddings; four brothers, Joseph W. Grant Jr. of Rock Hill, Robert G. Grant and Johnny L. Grant, both of Leesville, and William B. Grant of Sumter; and two sisters, Daisy M. Cole and Pearline "P.J." Hodge, both of Sumter. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home with the Revs. Mary Watford and G.W. Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jay Hodge, Jay Cole, Marty Geddings, Eddie Geddings, Donnie Craft and Mike Hoover. Andy Pritchard will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to New Testament Lighthouse Church, 1114 Boulevard Road, Sumter, SC 29153, or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 107 Westpark Blvd., Suite 150, Columbia, SC 29210.
