NANCY BONNER Nancy Rebecca Player Bonner, wife of Robert Cunningham Bonner, died Saturday, May 29, 2010, in Charleston. Born Jan. 22, 1957, in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late Orville Van Player Jr. and Nancy Deas Player. Becky was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and had worked as a respiratory therapist at Roper Hospital. She was a member of First (Scots) Presbyterian Church, where she presently was a kindergarten teacher. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Nancy Logan Bonner, William Heyward Bonner and Rebecca Elizabeth Bonner, all of Charleston; brothers, Orville Van Player III (Judy) of Greenville, Warren Thomas Player (Polly) of Mount Pleasant, Spencer McGill Player (Jane) of Lake City; aunt, Emily Deas Rhoden of Columbia; and nieces, nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be noon today at First (Scots) Presbyterian Church, followed by burial at Magnolia Cemetery. The family received friends Monday evening at the home of her brother, Warren Player, 10 Pierates Cruze, Mount Pleasant.
