Born on April 18, 1940, in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late James Robert "Jim" Stewart and Ruth Rodgers Stewart. She was a member of Crosspoint Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Marion E. "Gene" Ardis Jr. and Todd Stewart Ardis (Salena), both of Sumter; seven grandchildren; a very special great-grandson, Talan Ardis; and a sister, Belva Hickson (Tommy) of Sumter. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert William Grantham; a brother, James William Stewart; and a sister, Sarah Hobbs. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tim Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Todd and Salena Ardis, 3115 S. Wise Drive. Memorials may be made to Crosspoint Baptist Church, 2755 Carter Road, Sumter, SC 29150. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.  [1, 2]
