| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina EARLINE MARLEY WOOD Posted Tuesday, February 4, 2020 6:00 am Earline "Bud" Marley Wood, 95, widow of Clifford O. Wood, died on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at a local nursing facility. She was a daughter of the late Lilburn Hodge Barwick. As a long-time resident of Sumter County, Mrs. Wood was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Pate of Sumter and Linda Carlson (Larry) of Conway; two sisters, Ginger Potter (Dickie) and Audrey Ardis of Paxville; one brother, Billy Barwick (Dorothy) of Paxville; six grandchildren, Doug (Monica), Bruce (Genny), Eric (Lorena), Jeff (Brenda), Glenn LeNoir and Jill Dunn (Mike); 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Herbert C. Pate. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with the Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Online condolences may be sent to www.sumterfunerals.com.
