Gloria Kay McLeod, 72, wife of Steve Nolan McLeod, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at her home. Born August 6, 1953, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Lorris Elliot Benson and the late Mary Ruth Thompson Benson. She was a member of Cherryvale Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 57 years; a daughter, Frances Elaine McLeod and wife, Julie Anne Hobbs; grandchildren, Rivers McLeod Shaw, Julian McLeod Shaw, Aiden McLeod Shaw, and Suyuri Judhit "Judi" Lopez; and a brother, Robbie Brooks (Lydia). She was preceded in death by siblings, Charles Rewis, Billy Joe Rewis, Flarie Lea Birchall, and George Rewis. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jamie Osborne officiating. Burial will be in the Pinewood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward McLeod, Robert McLeod, James Houck, Jr., Johnny McLeod, David Brooks, and Eric Osborne. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
