The Rev. Jimmy Atkerson and the Rev. Homer Hinson will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Mr. Carraway died Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late Melvin A. and Mary Jane Stewart Carraway. He served in the United States Navy and retired from DuPont. He was an avid Drag Racing fan. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are his sons, Christopher Mark Hammes, Thomas Russell Graham, and Brandon Thomas Klavon; daughters, Angela Coates Padgett and Angela Christine Bullock; brothers, Junius L. Carraway and Homer S. Carraway; sister, Jeri C. Thompson; grandchildren, Andrew L. Carraway III, Derrell T. Coates, Brennen T. Coates, Dylan L. Coates, Kayla M. Bullock, Kaitlen K. Bullock, Keri C. Bullock, and Kenzi Bullock; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, Andrew L. Carraway II; brother, Glen D. Carraway; and sister, Lois C.
