| HIST | of Orangeburg, South Carolina Berley Franklin Faulling | Visit Guest Book ORANGEBURG - Berley Franklin Faulling, 85, of 435 Aultman Street, Orangeburg, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010, in the Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2010, in Memorial Park Cemetery, Broughton Street, Orangeburg, with military honors. Honorary pallbearers will be Al Faulling, Ralph Faulling, James Haithcock and Bobby Haithcock. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., Orangeburg, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Faulling was born April 12, 1925, in Providence, SC, a son of the late Albert English Faulling and the late Merchie Kizer Faulling. Mr. Berley served and was wounded in the Battle of Iwo Jima and he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marines. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a charter member of the Edisto Hunt Club and a member of The Ridge Hunting Club. Survivors include one son, Bruce Franklin Faulling (Lee Ann) of Columbia; two daughters, Barbara Faulling Rice (Jay) of Orangeburg, Jane Faulling Moses of Sumter; two grandchildren, Nicole Cottrell and Joey Faulling, both of Columbia; one great-granddaughter, Isabella Gray Cottrell of Columbia; two brothers, Eugene Faulling of Columbia, Francis Faulling of Orangeburg; one sister, Mary Ruth Shealy of Columbia. Friends may call at the residence of Barbara and Jay Rice, 437 Aultman Street, Orangeburg, and after the graveside service at the grave.
