The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen Pilchard of Manning, the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest E. Ward of Scranton, and the godson of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Lee of Alcolu. He graduated from The Citadel with a bachelor of science in business and is pursuing a master of divinity in apologetics from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, N.C. He served as a United States Army officer for five years and is a captain in the S.C. Army National Guard. The wedding is planned for May 29, 2010, at Sans Souci Farm, Sumter. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Randal Lowe of Sumter, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. White of Sumter, the late James R. Lea of Manning, and the late Mr. and Mrs. C. Troy Lowe of Honea Path. She graduated from Charleston Southern University with a bachelor of science in nursing. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Wayne Ward of Alcolu, the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen Pilchard of Alcolu and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ward of Scranton, and the godson of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Elden Lee of Alcolu. He graduated from The Citadel with a bachelor of science in business and attends Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, N.C. He served as an officer with the United States Army and is employed by SEBTS, Wake Forest. The Rev. Michael Ray Lowder and the Rev. Dr. Billy T. Lowe, uncle of the bride, officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Tadd Graham. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless, ivory Oleg Cassini gown with a beaded bodice and lace overlay chapel-length train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of lilies, white roses, Japanese asters, cromens and tricillium. Mrs. Patti Rhodes Lowder served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Morgan Elizabeth Richburg, Shannon Lucille Horton, Shona Lee Radekopf, Mrs. Adrienne Ward McCabe, Taylor Nicole Lea and Leanna Paige Richburg. Mary-Esther Ward McCabe served as flower girl. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Joseph Glenn White, Samuel Norman Rogers, William Craig Jones and Waveland LeGear McCabe III. Waveland LeGear McCabe IV served as ring bearer. Also participating were Mrs. Brenda Harrelson, Mrs. Constance Williams, Mrs. Valaree Richburg and Mrs. Kathi Lowe. The bride's parents held the reception at Sans Souci Farm. The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at the Clarendon Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
