Maverick Owen Benenhaley weighed 7 pounds and 11.8 ounces. He was 20 1/2 inches long. Grandparents are Charlie Bradley of Sumter, Joey Giffin of Sumter and Perry and Eleanor Benenhaley of Dalzell. Great-grandparents are Calvin Smith of Sumter, Carolyn Cochran of Sumter, Jim and Shirley Giffin of Sumter and Perry and Colleen Benenhaley of Dalzell. Great-great-grandmother is Margaret Smith of Sumter. MARGARET MCCOY SMITH Posted Tuesday, April 14, 2020 6:00 am Margaret McCoy Smith, age 95, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020. A private graveside service will be held on Thursday in Lamar, directed by Belk Funeral Home. Born on July 16, 1924, Margaret was a daughter of the late Maxie and Janie Watford McCoy. She worked for Campbell's Soup, and she loved spending time with her family. She was also an avid flower gardener who took pride in her yard. Margaret was a member of First Church of God in Sumter. Surviving are her sons, Willie James (Wanda) Smith and Calvin L. (Linda) Smith, all of Sumter; grandchildren, Yuvon (Calvin) Stanfield of Tennessee, Tim (Jeff) Smith of Key West, Florida, Charlie Smith, Candice Smith (Jimmy) Byrd and Willie Smith Jr., all of Sumter, and Hayley (Lee) Braswell of Gaston; three great-grandchildren, Forrest Giffin, Lakin Giffin and Miranda Stanfield; two great-great-grandchildren, Maverick and Easton; and many nieces and nephews.
