| HIST | He was a member of Hillside Hunting Club. MICHAEL E. RAY Michael Eugene Ray, 29, husband of Jessica E. Ray, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at his home. Born in Sumter, he was a son of Delmar "Pete" Ray and Donna Tuckey Ray. He was a member of Hillside Hunting Club and was employed by Black Hawk Management at Shaw Air Force Base. Survivors include his wife of Dalzell; his parents of Dalzell; three children, Austin Ray, Michaela Ray and Ethan Ray, all of the home; and two brothers, Dewayne Delmar Ray and his wife, Amy, and William E. "Billy" Ray, all of Dalzell. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Long Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Walt Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sonny Benenhaley, Tommy Smith, Henry Allen Benenhaley, Roger Hood, Tony Carpenter and Chris Hood. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Hillside Hunting Club. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at 5495 Water Tower Road, Dalzell. Memorials may be made to Walter H.
