RICHARD T. BORUCKI
Richard Thomas Borucki, 80, husband of Patricia "Shirley" Cantril Borucki, died Nov. 19, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a son of the late Stanley Borucki and the late Julia Gosbardowski Busch. Mr. Borucki worked as a night auditor for the Comfort Inn in Summerton. He was U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors besides his loving wife of 62 years include three children, Robert Thomas Borucki Sr. (Beverly) of Columbia, Linda B. Watson (Ted) of Sumter and Patricia Pounders (Michael) of St. Petersburg, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Robert Thomas Borucki Jr. (Tara), Trisha Michelle Borucki, Gayle Roberson (Marty), Dawn Joyce, Keith Richard Garbart (Michelle), Kyle Timothy Garbart (Sandy), Eric Michael Pounders and Amy Lynn Pounders; eight great-grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Kayce, Ethan, Kayla, Cody, Bridgett and Olivia; and one brother, Robert Stanley Borucki (Patricia) of Tampa, Fla.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Lamon.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the home of his daughter, 895 Whatley St.
