| HIST | DORIS S. CROOKE Posted Sunday, February 15, 2015 6:00 am Doris Wilson Scarborough Crooke, 84, widow of J.W. Crooke and Jack Scarborough, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Rockingham, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Robert Alexander Wilson and Edna Marie Hilburn Wilson. Mrs. Crooke retired from Hanes Hosiery Co. She was a Baptist. Survivors include three sons, Gary Scarborough (Pat) and Greg Scarborough (Gail), both of Sumter, and Ronnie Scarborough of Charleston; five grandchildren, Philip Scarborough, Brian Scarborough, Ashlee Lloyd (Kirt), Amanda Shadoan (P.J.) and Justin Scarborough; two step-grandchildren, Christy McLeod (Jason) and Kayla Watts; and six great-grandchildren, Nicholas, McKenzie, Cody, Jackson, Cason and William. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon S. Howell; a son-in-law, Randy Howell; one brother; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Lavender officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Philip Scarborough, Justin Scarborough, Kirt Lloyd, P.J. Shadoan and Nicholas Lloyd; and Brad Scott. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral home and other times at the home of Gary and Pat Scarborough, 2870 Sequoia Drive.
