Timmons Sr., age 56, beloved husband of Sue Timmons, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Palmetto Richland Medical Center. He was born on Sept. 10, 1954, in Florence, a son of Grover and Ruby Timmons. Randy loved deer hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving in addition to his wife are: two daughters, Peggy Timmons and her husband, Matthew Goodwin, and Rebecca S. Ingram and her husband, John G. Ingram III, all of Sumter; a sister, Becky Taylor and her husband, Charlie, of Effingham; four grandchildren, Richard Boone, Samantha Boone and Justine Goodwin, all of Sumter, and Kristian L. Timmons of Alabama. He was preceded in death by one son, Randy W. "Bubba" Timmons Jr., a brother and a sister. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday in the Bullock Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Donnie Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
