| HIST | of Dalzell, South Carolina Kennedy Benenhaley Kennedy Benenhaley, 60, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late George K. and Julia Buckner Benenhaley. After graduating from high school, Mr. Benenhaley worked with the S.C. Highway Department for several years. Survivors include one sister, Lillian "Susie" Patterson of Dalzell; two nephews, Jeffery French of Columbia and Jonathan French of Eatonton, Ga.; one uncle, Carson Benenhaley of Dalzell; and a number of loving and caring cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Springbank Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ken Ray, Jack Buckner, Markie Buckner, Barry Ray, Steve Walker and Steven Walker. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave. N., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
