GRACE R. DesCHAMPS Grace Richards DesChamps of Acworth, Ga., and Bishopville, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at her daughter's home. She was 77. Grace was an adoring wife, the best mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is remembered for her special way of touching those she loved. She is survived by her husband, Wallace P. DesChamps of South Carolina and a large family: four children, Mike, Lynette and Carey Carlisle and Beverly Clackum; three stepsons, Wally, John and Stephen DesChamps; four daughters-in-law; two sons-in-law; and their families, including 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Her son, Tony Carlisle, died in 1998. Born in Ball Ground, Ga., she grew up and worked in Cherokee and Cobb counties, retiring from Lockheed Georgia Co. after 40 years in 1993. In 1995, she married Wallace and enjoyed their travels and embraced life in Bishopville. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
