| HIST | of Manning, South Carolina Date Published: July 10, 2008 FLORENE C. HARRINGTON MANNING – Florene Covington Harrington, 74, wife of W.K. Harrington, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at her home in Manning. Born Aug. 17, 1933, in Greeleyville, she was a daughter of the late Holland S. and Mary McKnight Covington. She was a member of Greeleyville Baptist Church, and was a retired nurse and floor finisher. Surviving besides her husband of Manning are a son, Carroll Harrington and wife Denise of Manning; two daughters, Kay Morris and husband Tony of Manning, Beth Corbett and husband Anthony of Summerton; two brothers, Benton Covington and wife Faye of Kentucky, and Raymond Covington and wife Carmen of Kingstree; a sister, Janice C. Russell of Sumter; three grandchildren, Casey Ridgeway and husband Jeremy, Jennifer Harrington and fiancé Carl Floyd, Jr., and J. C. Harrington, all of Manning; three great grandchildren, Kaylin, Allison, and Philip Ridgeway; and a special friend, Cherry Carter. She was preceded in death by a son, William K. Harrington, Jr.; three sisters, Emily Clayton, Eleanor Butler and Eunice Barrineau; and one brother, Alfred Covington. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2008, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Odell Mouzon officiating. Burial will follow in the Williamsburg Cemetery in Kingstree. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning, and at other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Tony and Kay Morris, 301 Toccoa Drive, Manning. Memorials may be made to Southern Care Inc., 217 Dozier Blvd., Ste. 201, Florence, SC 29501 or to a charity of one's choice. Stephens Funeral Home, 304 N.
