Boddie at p. 347 shows John W. Jayroe (18) Wee Nee Volunteers joined the 25th SC Regiment at Ft. Johnston on Sept 5, 1861. J. W. Jayroe is listed as wounded (p. 407) at Drury’s Bluff in action on May 14-16, 1864 at Weldon R. R. Place of burial is not known. [1] |
