| HIST | Date Published: August 21, 2008 LENADELLE REAM Lenadelle Ream, 83, wife of retired Lt. Col. Clyde W. Ream, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at the home of her son in Blythewood after a long illness. Born in Rockwood, Pa., on March 21, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Schrock and Melda Swarner Schrock. She married Clyde Ream in 1946, and after his retirement from the U.S. Air Force, they made their home in Sumter. She always found enjoyment in life, especially in her family. She made homemaking and gardening an art and took much pleasure in volunteering for 30 years at the Shaw Air Force Base Hospital. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, participating actively until recent years when incapacitated by a stroke. Mrs. Ream is survived by her husband of Blythewood; a son, Jeffrey L. Ream and wife, Debra Newman Ream, of Blythewood; a granddaughter, Dr. Danielle E. Ream and husband, Robert T. Donchess, and their daughter, Elizabeth Madeline of Columbia; a grandson, Air Force Capt. Joshua L. Ream of Omaha, Neb. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lynn Yvonne; and two brothers, Leonard John Schrock and Robert James Schrock. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Jerry Pickens. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor. Private graveside services will be held in Evergreen Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 211 Alice Drive, Sumter, SC 29150 or to Lutheran Hospice, 1505 Blanding St., Columbia, SC 29201.
