"Billy" Thames, died on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at her home. Born in Humboldt, Nebraska, she was a daughter of the late Albert J. Drnjevic and Clema Pintar Drnjevic. Mrs. Thames was a member of Dalzell Baptist Church and was retired from Synovus Bank after 30 years of service. Surviving are a daughter, B.J. Thames Reed (Jeff) of Sumter; a sister, Chris Stichler (Don) of California; two grandchildren, Luke Reed and Josie Reed; one nephew, Samuel Askew (Salli); and two nieces, Stacee Askew and Anita Wilcox (Craig). She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marty Thames. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Dalzell Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Barnette officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
