Born on Nov. 8, 1940, in Sumter County, he was a son of the late J.C. and Irene Anderson Davis. Mr. Davis retired from Sumter County Department of Public Works. Survivors include a brother, Howard Davis (Carol) of Sumter; and a stepdaughter, Kathy Ray McLeod (Henry) of Pinewood. A private burial will be held at the Pinewood Cemetery.
