Born May 19, 1938, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Moultrie Brantley Galloway and Edna Geddings Stone. He was a retired welder for General Electric and a member and musician of Manning Baptist Temple. He is survived by his wife of Manning; a son, John Timothy "Timmy" Galloway (M.J.) of Manning; a daughter, Cindy Snowden (Bobby) of Alcolu; two grandsons, Ric Johnson (Britton) of Southport, N.C., and Brantley Galloway of Manning; two step-grandsons, Robert Snowden and Eric Snowden; two granddaughters, Malorie Spring (Ben) of Lake City and Katie Johnson (Brent Register) of Charleston; and two great-granddaughters, Tyra Lilly Johnson and Olivia Grayce Register. He was preceded in death by a son, Moultrie Brantley "Lee" Galloway III. A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Revs. William Jeffers and Frank Sedgwick officiating. Burial will follow in Manning Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ric Johnson, Ben Spring, Brent Register, Jeff Lewis, Stoney Watson and Craig Blend. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Watson, Wayne Evans, Bennie Turner, Pete Minor, Brantley Galloway and Cecil Wilson. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Stephens Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
