| HIST | Vernon C. Rollins 1937 - 2018 Obituary of Vernon C. Rollins Vernon Carlisle Rollins, 80, of Columbia husband of Ella Jean Alsup Rollins passed away on Tuesday April 10, 2018. He was born on August 30, 1937 in Chapin SC to the late Carl Allen Rollins and Vera Mageline Epting Rollins. Vernon was a graduate of Chapin High School in 1955 and worked for U-Haul Company of South Carolina for the past 33 years. In addition to his wife of 61 years, he is survived by two sons, Garry L. Rollins and Larry W. Rollins (Kerry); one daughter, Lizette Rollins; one sister, Hazel Mageline Rollins Smith (Robert); sister in law, Starling Lowman; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Epting Rollins; daughter in law, Jean Piche Rollins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, 823 Jackson St., West Columbia SC 29169. A second visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, 2500 North Highway 41, Ft. Valley, Ga 31030. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church in Ft. Valley, GA. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
