| HIST | of Orangeburg, South Caroina Raymond Dreher Heckle Jr. | Visit Guest Book ORANGEBURG - Raymond "Ray" Dreher Heckle Jr., 66, of Orangeburg, died Thursday evening at his residence. A graveside service will be held Monday, February 27, 2012, at 2:00 in Congaree Baptist Church Cemetery, St. Matthews. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. Mr. Heckle was born in Orangeburg, a son of Mildred Jumper Heckle and the late Raymond Heckle Sr. He was a retired captain from the Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Detention Center, a member of Congaree Baptist Church, and served in the United States Air Force. Survivors include his mother of St. Matthews; two sons, Sean Ray Heckle of Clayton, NC, and Shane Leigh Heckle of St. Matthews; one sister, Cheryl Price and husband, Jeff, of St. Matthews; one brother, Wayne Jumper Heckle and wife, Suzette, of St. Matthews; four grandchildren, Dalton Shane Heckle, Leah Mae Heckle, Halee Victoria Boruta and Makayla Ann Jennings; two nieces and one nephew; special friend and companion, Brenda Bradbury. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society , 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Friends may call at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Mildred Heckle, 425 Calhoun Road, St. Matthews and at his residence, 4057 Creekmoor Drive, Orangeburg.
