Born in Turbeville, he was a son of the late Willie Eli and Alma Louise Player Robinson. Mr. Robinson was the retired owner and operator of Charles Robinson Fence Co. Surviving are one daughter, Dana Robinson of Charleston; one brother, Doug Robinson of Sumter; one sister, Miriam Tedder of Camden; two grandchildren, Lake and Mason; five nieces, Debbie McCord, Maria Ardis, Beth Ardis Segars, Gwen Tedder and Whitney Robinson; and one nephew, Chris Tedder. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Kenneth Morris. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. The family would like to extend thanks to Sumter Health & Rehab for the loving care they gave Charles.
