TURBEVILLE — Andrea Sara Floyd and Robert Derrick Beard Jr. were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Shea Floyd of New Zion, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Franklin Allen of Sumter and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Carlysle Floyd. She graduated from Florence-Darlington Technical College with a human services degree. She is employed by the South Carolina Early Autism Project. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Derrick Beard of Lake City, and the grandson of Mrs. Mary Nell Daniels Beard of Lake City, and the late Robert Levi Beard and the late Mr. and Mrs. Delta Shelley Ward. He graduated from Francis Marion University with a bachelor of business administration in management. He is employed by Floyd Fertilizer, LLC, as a precision agriculture specialist. The Rev. Legrande Taylor officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Dena Proctor Joye, pianist and vocalist; Alyssa Joy Floyd, Ashlan Brooke Floyd and Amberlee Paige Floyd, vocalists; Brian Parker, trumpeter; and Maryalice Hoyt, harpist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a champagne and ivory silk taffeta gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and crystal beads and embroidered applique adorning the rouched bodice. She carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies and Eskimo roses. Allison Floyd Kirby served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Anna Lee Burrows, Caroline DuRant Thompson, Ashley Kirkland Floyd, Greta Culick Welch, Megan Blanche Floyd, Rebecca Floyd Teal and Jenna Atkinson Kinder. Daylee Parker Culick served as flower girl. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Randall Shea Floyd Jr., Tyson Neil Floyd, Cory Levi Beard, Thomas Shuler Ward, Michael David Kirby Jr., Justin Brian Baker and James Cameron Adam Welsh. Cooper Sims Teal served as ring bearer. Also participating were James Wheeler Floyd and Dayton Staley Culick. The reception was held at the home of the bride in New Zion.
