Thigpen MANNING — Flossie Ardis Thigpen, 89, widow of Arthur Melvin Thigpen, died Friday, March 7, 2014, at Jolley Acres Health Care Center in Orangeburg. Born September 14, 1924, in Pinewood, she was the daughter of the late Jack Neal Ardis and the late Marie Davis Ardis. She was a member of Manning United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Marie Brunson (Frankie) of Alcolu, Linda Liscio (Ralph) of Manning and Helen Bosshart (Charles) of Seabrook Island; a sister, Wilton Mitchum of Summerton; six grandchildren, Kathy Cramer (Larry), Cheryl Blank (Bryan), Lin Brunson (Pam), Lisa Gibbons, Von Corbett (Johnny) and Tina Stoia; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ed Gibbons; and five brothers, Richard, Oscar, Leroy, Melvin and Neal Ardis. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Clarendon Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. James C. Adams officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Manning United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 68, Manning, SC 29102 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, SC Chapter, 3223 Sunset Blvd., Suite 100, W. Columbia, SC 29169-3496. Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory, 304 N.
