| HIST | Posted: Wednesday, April 14, 2010 RAY A. HALLMAN MAYESVILLE -- Ray Anthony Hallman, 50, husband of Robin Melinda Poole Hallman, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at his home. Born in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Fred Arnold and Mary Francis Anderson Hallman. Mr. Hallman was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Pilgrim's Pride. Surviving are his wife of Mayesville; a daughter, Natalie Frances Hallman of Mayesville; three brothers, Charles Hallman (Susan) of Dalzell and Leslie Hallman and Donnie Hallman, both of Sumter; and five sisters, Deloris Haithcock, Dianne Floyd (Roland), Patricia Turner (Mitt) and Lisa Miles (Don), all of Sumter, and Mary Pope of Darlington. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Pinkey Anderson and Freddie Hallman. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Tobias officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Herbert China, Walter Dewitt, Terry Frierson, Sammie Johnson, Donald Krages, Robert Pemberton, Buddy Rogerson and Legree Sims. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2736 Raccoon Road, Mayesville.
